While making your poppet, you can chant a simple rhyme, like:

Though separate you were,
Now you are one.
The link of union has begun.

Or chant the intended's name, while visualizing your magickal intent. You can even write or sew the sigil for your casting on the poppet itself. When your spell is cast, wrap the poppet in cloth and store it in a safe place until your spell manifests itself. It can be reused to continue/reinforce the same spell, for the same person. (Some witches object strongly to this! It's a personal decision) When the spell is completely done, either take the poppet apart and scatter the pieces, burn it intact, or (preferably) bury it in a safe place.
