How to Tell a Fortune by the Flame

Touch a light to the little wick,
Watch it burn to the candlestick.
Study with care the little blaze;
Fortunes are told in its tiny rays.

If an unseen power makes it weak and low,
For you it foretells a tale of woe.
If that same power makes a blaze bright and healthy,
You'll be happy and wise, be good and wealthy.

Winter Divination

For this spell, light some lavender incense and a lavender candle, and make a pot of mugwort and lemon balm tea. Pour the tea into a libation bowl, and drink a cup. As the rest of the tea cools, envision your psychic pathways clearing. Wash your hands and face in the cooled tea, and say:

"Lord of the Sun, Lady of the Moon; I call upon thee both to grant my boon! Open the way for my psychic sight, Let the symbols of divination come to my knowing, That I may understand the visions from the Shadow Paths, And communicate between the worlds. I ask this as thy child with blessings given and received, That as I will, so mote it be!"
