A Spell for Lonesome Witches

The feminist witch Zussana Budapest created this spell for a broken heart-particularly for working women who are finding that their heartache is endangering their work. This spell will also ease any health ailments bought on by sadness. If you feel lonely and betrayed, cast this spell.

Procure the scent of lily (essential oil or a real lily will do). Go outdoors, or to a window from which you can see the moon waxing or waning. (Be wary of casting this spell during a full moon, as you may feel your emotions more intensely. A waning moon is best.) Repeat seven times:

"I am never alone
I am surrounded by the love of the Divine Mother,
The lady of the woods and the springs and the flowers.

I am never forlorn,
For I am loved by the Divine Mother,
And she has already sent her blessings after me.
I am never alone or forlorn.
My ancestor's spirits watch over me.
I am beloved and blessed forever and beyond."

Breathe the scent of the lily deeply. Think about the strong women you love or have as role models. They are on your side and their strength is now yours to access. Wear lily scent for the next few days, or have lilies on your desk or in your bedroom. The scent of the Goddess will ease your heartache, permitting you to allow others into your life to help you, and break down the walls you may have begun building around heart. Ultimately this gentle spell will allow you to allow others to love you again. Repeat as often as needed.
